Residents trace Bermondsey history during foreshore walks

Tideway recently arranged for approximately 40 local residents to attend low tide archaeological foreshore walks. These were held over two sessions in June and July and were hosted by the Clayground Collective. 

Residents were able to trace Bermondsey's history by discovering artifacts uncovered by the river. Artifacts found included various fragments of pottery, ship remains and a section of animal antler, which upon inspection, is believed to date back to prehistoric times.
