Our Falconbrook site is part of a Thames Water pumping station, where more than 700,000 cubic metres of untreated sewage flows into the River Thames on average each year. Our work to intercept these overflows into the new super sewer will reduce this amount by around 94 per cent.

Work update

The main construction works are progressing well at Falconbrook. The team is currently working on the architectural and landscaping finishes to the area immediately outside of the Thames Water pumping station. There will also be a period of testing of the new sewer infrastructure ahead of the sewer going 'live'.

No construction traffic access the site through the residential area from Lavender Road
Construction traffic access the site via new entry and exit points off York Road
Pedestrian access from York Road to York Gardens has been maintained
All static machinery and plant is screened or enclosed
The excavated material handling area is enclosed
