Super sewer to feature on new construction–themed Monopoly board

Tideway, the company building London’s super sewer, is set to feature on a special, limited-edition version of the iconic board game, Monopoly.

A construction-themed board has been created by Hasbro and the Construction Index, using world-famous brands and custom-made playing pieces, including a Komatsu dump truck, a Bridgestone tyre and a JCB backhoe loader.

Lining up alongside some of the world’s most famous contractors and mega-projects, the ‘Tideway Super Sewer’ features as one of four pieces of infrastructure (occupying the four traditional ‘station’ squares).

Nuclear power stations Sizewell C and Hinkley Point C, as well Heathrow Airport make up the remaining three, while the boardgame also features all new Chance and Community Chest cards, tailored to the trials and tribulations of operating in the construction industry.
