The proposed site covers the pumping station and part of the Fulham Reach development (currently under construction) and minor highway works. The site will be used to intercept the existing Hammersmith Pumping Station combined sewer overflow.

Concrete Pour
On Tuesday 21 May, we will be undertaking a continuous concrete pour, as part of our Interception Chamber works. This involves pumping a large volume of concrete to form a solid foundation at the bottom of the chamber.

The site will be closed for the Easter break from Friday 19 April and will reopen on Tuesday 23 April.

Our standard working hours are (with a 1-hour mobilisation period before and after these times):

  • Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm

  • Saturday: 8am – 12 midday

Additionally, we have maintenance periods on the weekend:

  • Saturday: 1 – 5pm

  • Sunday: 10am – 4pm.

We will be working 24-hours a day for approximately nine months. This is be taking place predominantly underground as we construct our tunnel.

On average, we have approximately six heavy goods vehicles accessing the site. More up to date information about the vehicle movements can be found within the CLWG presentations.

The next Hammersmith Pumping Station CLWG will be announced shortly.

You can see the minutes and presentation from the last CLWG below. If you are interested in finding out more about out community liaison working group, please email [email protected].

  • Hoarding which has been erected along the site boundary

  • The site offices are positioned along the northern boundary of the site to screen Chancellor’s Road from construction activities

  • The use of surface cranes are minimised outside of standard working hours

  • Limits have been set to control activities, such as noise (Section 61 approval) from LB Hammersmith and Fulham
