The Tideway Prize is a photography competition celebrating a healthier River Thames and the people, places and moments that make the river unique. Whether you're an experienced photographer or simply have a great image on your phone, we want to see your perspective.
Standing By the Thames
The 2026 theme, Standing by the Thames, is inspired by Matthew Joseph's acclaimed exhibition and reflects both the people who live, work and spend time along the river, and Tideway's long-standing commitment to helping protect it. Having spent more than a decade standing by the Thames through the construction of London's super sewer, we're inviting photographers to capture this new chapter in the river's story through creative and thought-provoking images of its people, wildlife, landscapes and everyday life.
